Foraging, green wood, forest bathing and more in 2024
May Hill Woodlands has published its program of woodland well-being and nature connection activities and events for 2024.
In late April, the year will be kicked off with Tales of Witchcraft and Wonder, hosted by Inkubus Sukubus. This event will go from Friday evening through to Sunday, with a Witchcraft market at the Village Hall on Saturday 27 April, followed by music and merry-making from Bygonz, Toadstone, and Inkubus Sukubus themselves.
We continue to host regular green woodworking courses from Maurice of Touch Wood, in his wonderful woodland workshop. You can learn to bodge and create traditional wood crafts with no power tools, only the soundscape and bird song in the woods!
The foraging course company will be back in 2024 to lead people through the woodlands of May Hill and help to identify edible plants, as well as how to harvest them legally, sustainably, and safely.
We will be joined by Peter Gill of Living Focusing in May, who is hosting a long weekend forest retreat to foster a deeper connection to one’s true nature.
And the Barnstorm youth theatre camp will be hosting two back to back full week camps in late July and early August, featuring two amazing co-devised, orignal theatre shows from Gloucestershire’s amazing 12-18 year olds.
Keep checking our activities page to find out more, and find out what else will be added as 2024 progresses.
